Wolfsburg

Infotainment, advanced driver assistance systems, HiL test systems and diagnosis are the core competences in Wolfsburg

The subsidiary in Wolfsburg has been situated in the Innovation Campus of the Autovision South of the Volkswagen research and development site since 2007. Founding the subsidiary, we wanted to enhance the business relations with the Volkswagen AG.

Our portfolio includes model-based development and test solutions, diagnosis, operation and the development of Hardware-in-the-Loop test systems as well as advanced driver assistance systems and ECU software development and is performed locally at Volkswagen.

We have a large team of modellers in the area of infotainment components. There, the test tool MODENA is used which was developed in close cooperation with the AUDI AG. Many errors can be detected at an early stage of development using automated tests. It is thus possible to reduce cost in developing infotainment components.

Another competence is the design and operation of HiL test systems. Besides the operation of the test benches,

we also perform customized adjustments and enhancements of different test systems in the area of comfort and drive. Here the focus is on the generation and implementation of test cases. In addition, we also integrate and use EXAM, the test automation solution of the VW group.

The future targets of our subsidiary in Wolsfburg are to continue working on the inhouse engineering and to support the model-based development of ECU software to the point of using the models as specification tool as well as their integration at the supplier.

Core competences:

  • HiL engineering
  • Test management
  • Infotainment systems -
    integration and component tests
  • Diagnosis
  • Advanced driver assistance systems
  • ECU software development

Project example model-based testing with MODENA

For testing infotainment systems with many linked finite state machines, sequentual tests according to the principle "Establishing initial state - Transitional function - Evaluating reaction" are applicable only to a limited degree. The interactions between different functions that are used in parallel have only been tested on a small scale.
