6th Newsletter 'Insight Transportation' - May 2011

Dear Reader,

At the beginning of this year two major changes have taken place that are relevant for Berner & Mattner in general and for the Business Unit Transportation in particular. Berner & Mattner has been part of the Assystem Group since February 4, 2011. For more details, please refer to the headline "International Growth" (page 8).

The second change is related to the technical and organizational expansion of the Business Unit Transportation Systems. The existing portfolio with the two key service areas "signaling system" and "rail vehicle software" is expanded by development services in the field of "system technology for rail vehicles". Since January 1, 2011, the newly formed team has been directed by Michael Schmidtke, who has been working in the areas of development, startup and approval of locomotives for more than 15 years. His expert knowledge and proven experience are of high value for this demanding task. We are confident that this structure helps us offer our customers an even more targeted and efficient support for implementing their objectives.

You will find more news and the technical paper on the topic "Modeling of Interface Specifications" in this 6th issue of our Transportation newsletter.

Enjoy reading,

Thorsten Hiebenthal
Head of Transportation
