Protecting the security and privacy of your personal data is of vital importance to Berner & Mattner Systemtechnik GmbH. Therefore, it is both mandatory and self-understood for us to comply with the German laws on data privacy protection and data security. We will thus not collect any personal data about you unless you voluntarily choose to provide us with it. The policy below will help you understand which data may be collected and how it might be used.


  1. The major part of the public information on our website can be used without disclosing any personal data, i. e. you can visit these pages anonymously. We only collect and use statistical information (pages viewed, number of visits, average time spent on the site etc.) in order to optimize our internet presence.

  2. In case certain areas you have selected (e. g. product enquiries, subscriptions, information requests etc.) require the entry of your personal data, it is left to your own discretion to either disclose it or remain anonymous. Should you decide to disclose your data, it will be stored on secure servers within the Federal Republic of Germany in order to execute your orders and to conduct statistical surveys on an anonymized basis (please see above). In addition, we use your data only for the purpose indicated in the respective input field. Without your permission your data will not be shared with any persons or companies outside of our company. It will only be disclosed to a third party if you have been informed and agree with it or if we are bound by law. We will not pass on any of your data to other companies for advertising purposes.

  3. Access to closed user groups (e. g. customer area) is only possible for authorized and registered customers by password.

  4. We would like to point out that our websites may contain links to the websites of other providers. We do not have any influence on the handling of your data there. Furthermore, we do not have any influence on the form and content of the linked pages. Before the link was activated, we had thoroughly checked them. However, we cannot eliminate the possibility that the operators of the respective sites have made changes violating applicable law or the corporate philosophy of Berner & Mattner Systemtechnik GmbH. We disassociate ourselves from such contents.

  5. If desired, you will of course obtain information about any of your personal data we have collected free of charge. Your once given consent for collecting, processing and using your personal data may be revoked at any time.

  6. For the optimization of our websites we use "cookies" (small files with information about the configuration) according to the regulations of the "Informationsgemeinschaft zur Feststellung der Verbreitung von Werbeträgern e. V. (IVW)". They help us identify the number of visits and users on our website. We do not collect any personal data by means of cookies. Cookies are not required for using our website. Most browsers are configured in such a way that they automatically accept cookies. However, you have the possibility to deactivate the storage of cookies or to configurate your browser in such a way that you receive a warning once cookies are being sent.

  7. This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. If you have activated the IP anonimyze method on this website, your IP address is truncated by Google within the European Union or all other members of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address is sent to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.     We would like to point out that the website Google Analytics uses the extension “gat._anonymizeIp();” to allow an anonimyzed processing of IP addresses, the so called IP masking.
